Overview

Soluna announced on 8 April 2025 a term sheet for power for Project Hedy, a 120 MW data center co-located with a 200 MW wind farm in South Texas. The company said Hedy will be developed in two 60 MW phases using excess wind for Bitcoin mining, AI, and machine-learning loads, and that with Hedy Soluna expected more than 598 MW of capacity in operation, construction, or development. Soluna named the project for inventor Hedy Lamarr and said it would next finalize definitive power-purchase agreements, land agreements, and the ERCOT planning process. CEO John Belizaire tied the site to Cameron County wind resources. Data Center Dynamics reported the same 120 MW, two-phase Hedy deal next to a 200 MW South Texas wind farm and likewise placed development in Cameron County. The Rio Grande Valley Business Journal later listed Project Hedy among Soluna’s planned Cameron County wind-colocated campuses, separate from Project Kati at Las Majadas in Willacy County.
