CloudHQ SAT Data Center | Bexar County, TX

CloudHQ’s SAT campus sits west of San Antonio on the former University of Texas Health Science Center site. The company lists five planned halls totaling 3,023,300 square feet, 600 megawatts of published critical IT load, ready-for-service within 2027, four fiber laterals, and multiple on-site substations. The San Antonio Express-News reported on June 2, 2023, that a CloudHQ-affiliated LLC bought 123 acres of undeveloped land at Omicron and Lambda in Texas Research Park from the University of Texas board of regents, with site plans for four or five buildings bordering Microsoft’s campus. Data Center Dynamics said the tract is bounded by Lambda Drive and Omicron Drive across the street from Microsoft’s Bexar County facilities at 15000 Lambda Drive, just east of that campus, that UT still held about 58 undeveloped acres next door after moving science labs to the South Texas Medical Center, and that county filings sketched multiple configurations of four or five multi-story halls. CloudHQ was founded in 2016 by DuPont Fabros co-founder Hossein Fateh.
