PowerCampus Austin Data Center | Williamson County, TX

Data Center Dynamics reported on 9 May 2023 that Skybox Datacenters and Prologis planned PowerCampus Austin, a 600 MW campus across 160 acres in the Hutto area of northeast Austin, with up to four million square feet, two 300 MW private substations, and six to eight buildings in 24, 48, or 72 MW designs. DCD said Prologis and Skybox acquired more than 220 acres from the City of Hutto on the south side of U.S. Highway 79 in far eastern Hutto in August 2022, and that Skybox told Data Center Frontier the campus was scheduled to begin delivering capacity in 2024. Williamson County’s economic-development partnership reported on 26 July 2023 that Hutto City Council had approved Chapter 312 incentives for the 159-acre PowerCampus Austin, that intended capital investment is at least $10 billion, and that a development agreement with Hutto Data Center LLC covers a roughly 600 MW campus at U.S. 79 and County Road 132.
