Overview

Google’s Monrovia campus is a planned Morgan County data-center development east of town. Data Center Dynamics reported that the Morgan County Economic Development Corporation confirmed Google behind plans on about 390 acres in Morgan Township, between Keller Hill Road, North Antioch Road, Indiana 42, and West Union Church Road, covering 18 parcels owned by 10 entities. Initial applications suggested up to five buildings — four large halls and a smaller building east of the transmission line. Broderick Green said Google was exploring a Morgan County development. The project was approved for rezoning in late September. DCD notes Google also developing Google Fort Wayne after buying about 900 acres and committing around $2 billion in 2024, and that Google withdrew a Franklin Township, Indianapolis, filing in September after local response.

AES Indiana announced on April 23, 2026, that it filed under HEA 1007 a customer-specific contract for Google’s proposed Monrovia data center. Google pays 100 percent of its energy use and of new infrastructure required to serve it. AES Indiana models more than $770 million in savings for existing customers over 15 years and about $1.3 billion in new energy infrastructure paid by Google. The contract includes financial assurances, minimum demand commitments, and exit provisions against stranded costs. AES Indiana president Brandi Davis-Handy and Google data-center energy region head Will Conkling described the filing as a ratepayer-protection model. An IURC order is expected in September.

Google’s other Indiana campus is Google Michigan City. Hendricks County’s Vantage IN11 sits immediately north.

The public map lists 2 map records. Reported campus capacity is 400 MW. Both buildings are planned.
