Overview

QTS’s Phoenix 3 campus is a Blackstone-owned hyperscale park north of Camelback Road and west of Loop 303 along Cotton Lane in the Glendale / Litchfield Park area of Maricopa County, Arizona. Data Center Dynamics reported May 2024 filings for QTS PHX 3: 16 buildings of about 180,000 square feet each, roughly 3 million square feet, on a 375-acre site QTS bought in July 2022 for $255.3 million, with 750 MW of critical capacity and a 29-acre substation. QTS’s Phoenix 3 page lists DC1 at 17408 W. Camelback Road and DC2 at 17428 W. Camelback Road in Litchfield Park, plus later DC9, DC13, and DC14 addresses on the same Camelback frontage, and describes closed-loop cooling that needs only a one-time water fill. Commercial Property Executive said the Glendale campus is QTS’s third Phoenix-metro location after an 85-acre, 280 MW campus at 1200 40th Street and a 32 MW Van Buren Street hall, built to QTS’s Freedom standard design. Maricopa siblings already in the directory include AWS Elliot Road. The public map lists DC1, DC2, and DC3 as three planned 65.7 MW buildings totaling 197.1 MW. QTS’s Camelback Road address list is the operator source that DC1 and DC2 are the first mapped halls on the 375-acre Glendale campus. DCD’s $255.3 million 2022 land buy and 16-building, 750 MW envelope remain the campus-scale story around those three 65.7 MW pins.
