AWS PHX065 Pecos Road Data Center | Mesa, AZ

Amazon Data Services is developing a two-building data-center campus on Pecos Road in southeast Mesa, Arizona. Data Center Dynamics reported 2023 filings for two Mesa campuses about four miles apart, each with two 227,000-square-foot buildings; the Pecos Road site covers 71.3 acres at 10464 East Pecos Road, land Amazon acquired in December 2021 for just over $18 million after an earlier logistics concept known as Project Cork. DCD said that concept was a 700,000-square-foot last-mile hub that did not proceed, and that the Pecos tract sits just east of Legacy Park. A December 2025 City of Mesa council staff report for case ZON25-00598, PHX 065 CUP, identifies Amazon Data Services as owner of that 71.3-acre tract west of East Pecos Road and South Signal Butte Road and recommends a council use permit for an owner-operated substation serving a previously approved data center. Planning and Zoning had approved a site plan and special use permits for the data-center use in May 2024. Legacy Park and the Elliot Road Technology Corridor lie north of Pecos Road toward Apple, EdgeCore, and Google campuses. Amazon’s Pecos Road campus is the second of the two Mesa sites DCD described about four miles apart in the Elliot Road Technology Corridor, with two planned halls totaling 192.6 MW on the public map.

The public map lists 2 buildings. Reported campus capacity is 192.6 MW. All 2 buildings are planned.
