AWS Elliot Road Data Center | Mesa, AZ

Amazon Data Services is developing a two-building data-center campus off Elliot Road in southeast Mesa, next to Apple’s Mesa campus in the Elliot Road Technology Corridor. Data Center Dynamics reported 2023 filings for two Mesa sites about four miles apart; the Elliot Road campus covers 42.9 acres that Amazon acquired in December 2021 for $16.9 million, each plan calling for two 227,000-square-foot buildings. DCD said the Elliot Road tract had previously been earmarked for a logistics facility, citing AZTechCouncil. The Mesa Tribune reported Planning and Zoning approval of a site plan for two Amazon data-center buildings totaling 458,608 square feet on about 37 vacant acres south of Elliot Road and west of Signal Butte Road, plus a special use permit reducing parking, despite Eastmark master-developer opposition. A November 2025 Mesa staff report for AWS PHX 062 describes a major site-plan modification adding an owner-operated electric substation on that Elliot Road tract, with access from Elliot Road and Mesquite Street. Amazon paid $16.9 million in December 2021 for the 42.9-acre Elliot Road tract, previously earmarked for logistics, and Mesa later approved two 227,000-square-foot halls plus a special-use parking reduction despite Eastmark’s opposition. The November 2025 PHX 062 staff report adds an owner-operated electric substation with access from Elliot Road and Mesquite Street.
