Overview

Panther Creek is the planned data-center campus at the Panther Creek Power site on Dennison Road in Nesquehoning, Carbon County, Pennsylvania. WFMZ reported a Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection public meeting and hearing on August 20, 2026, at Panther Valley Junior/Senior High School in Lansford for Carbon Node East Development, LLC, operated by Keel Infrastructure. Plans call for four halls of about 300,000 square feet each and two new substations across 336 acres. Keel’s materials list 350 MW of secured capacity with possible expansion to 510 MW. The DEP meeting covered the overall project; the hearing covered an NPDES stormwater permit and a water-obstruction and encroachment joint permit into Broad Run, Dennison Run, Nesquehoning Creek, and wetlands. The Times News reported a July 15 legal notice setting a 5 p.m. question session and a 7 p.m. hearing at 912 Coal Region Way, Lansford, on the water-obstruction application and the NPDES construction-stormwater discharge into Broad Run, Dennison Run, Nesquehoning Creek, and wetlands. Carbon Node East at 4 Dennison Road is a four-building, 350-megawatt campus expected to employ about 300 people once fully operational.
