Overview
Data Center Dynamics reported on 21 January 2026 that Infrakey DC Parks and the City of Lacy Lakeview unveiled the Lacy Lakeview Data District, a public-private partnership covering about 520 acres in McLennan County with planned power capacity of up to 925 MW. DCD said previous reports suggested full build-out could host up to six data centers with 1 GW of capacity, that the agreement was formalized during PTC 2026 in Honolulu, and that L2D2 is structured as a district-scale platform with ERCOT interconnection, a district substation, behind-the-meter generation and storage, reclaimed water from the city’s wastewater system, and multi-path fiber. Phase I is expected to deploy 300 MW of grid-based power, with 150 MW on an initial substation interconnection and another 150 MW by the end of 2027. Partners claimed more than $2 billion in infrastructure investment at full build-out. Infrakey’s 20 January 2026 GlobeNewswire release covers the same Lacy Lakeview partnership. Infrakey’s United States locations page lists the company’s U.S. parks. Cipher McLennan is McLennan County’s other mapped campus, the 500 MW Riesel / Sandy Creek Cipher pipeline pin. DCD said Phase I is 300 MW of grid power, 150 MW on the first substation interconnection and 150 MW more by the end of 2027, with full-build investment claimed above $2 billion. GlobeNewswire’s 20 January 2026 Infrakey release is the same Lacy Lakeview partnership. Cipher McLennan is the Riesel / Sandy Creek Cipher campus in the same county.
The public map lists one map record, InfraKey Lacy Lakeview Data Center, 1,000 MW, planned. Reported campus capacity is 1,000 MW.
