Overview

Google’s Haskell County page says construction began in November 2025 and that Google broke ground and started engaging subcontractors as the project moved into construction. Google’s Texas locations page said in November 2025 that the company would invest $40 billion in Texas through 2027 in cloud and AI infrastructure, including new data center campuses in Armstrong and Haskell Counties, on top of existing Ellis County halls in Midlothian and Red Oak. Data Center Dynamics reported on 8 July 2026 that Google-linked Housebound Group LLC filed with TDLR for two data-center projects at 1362 Red Creek Road in Haskell, each a $400 million investment. Journey 1A started construction on 1 April 2026, spans 285,280 square feet, and is expected to finish in late August 2027; Journey 2A spans 210,420 square feet, started 23 June 2026, and targets late October. DCD said Haskell County tax-abatement documents link Homebound Group to Google on about 300 acres, and that Aterio places the Journey site in northern Haskell County while Thelma, mapped here as Google Haskell South, sits in southern Haskell County. Google Haskell South is Haskell County’s other campus in this directory.
