Overview
Fermi America announced on 10 August 2026 a binding lease between Fermi Campus 1 LLC and TensorWave TEX1, LLC for the first customer hall at Project Matador in Carson County, covering 222 MW of total facility power with phased delivery beginning in the second half of 2027, about $6.5 billion of contracted revenue over a 15-year initial term, and expansion rights that would bring the partnership to more than 650 MW. Fermi said construction is underway, with about 6 GW of a planned 17 GW already permitted and more than $1.5 billion invested, and first power targeted for 2026. Fermi’s Form 10-K for the year ended 31 December 2025 describes the one-campus identity, phased power strategy, gas approval, East application, utility agreement, and construction activity. TCEQ’s 25 February 2026 technical review covers construction permits 181009, PSDTX1670, and GHGPSDTX254 for the issued-gas purpose and capacity basis; Air Permits IMS project 407047 covers Matador East pending IDs. The NRC combined-license page and the 20 March 2026 Federal Register notice (91 Fed. Reg. 13641–13643) cover AP1000 units 1–4 and about 4 GW of onsite nuclear purpose. Fermi’s Q2 2026 investor presentation and 10-Q describe the near-term gigawatt plan, acreage, water leases, TensorWave conditions, and construction-in-progress. All 4 buildings are planned.
The public map lists 4 map records. Reported campus capacity is 222 MW. All 4 buildings are planned.
