Overview

Soluna’s November 13, 2025, newsroom post says Project Dorothy in West Texas includes Dorothy 1 and Dorothy 2 behind the meter at a 150 MW wind farm, and that completing Dorothy 2 brought the named Dorothy campus to about 100 MW of operational capacity. Dorothy 1 is the earlier operating hall on that campus. Soluna said the site converts curtailed wind into Bitcoin mining and AI compute, that Dorothy 1 and 2 together were then running about 98 MW of Bitcoin mining split between 25 MW proprietary and 73 MW hosting, and that the transition created 18 full-time local jobs. The company names the campus for NASA mathematician Dorothy Vaughan. Data Center Dynamics reported the same 48 MW Dorothy 2 expansion that brought the campus to 100 MW, with Dorothy 1 as the earlier operating phase. Soluna’s August 24, 2026, land-purchase release places Dorothy 1 and 2 in Briscoe County adjacent to the Briscoe Wind Farm, which Soluna acquired in April, and says a newly closed 397-acre parcel next door will host planned Dorothy 3.
