Overview

Meta’s New Albany Data Center is the company’s Ohio campus at 1500 Beech Road in the Licking County portion of New Albany, across Beech Road from Google’s Central Ohio halls. Meta’s campus page says the company broke ground in 2017, has invested more than $1.5 billion in Ohio, supports more than 300 operational jobs and 1,200 skilled-trade workers at peak construction, and matches the site with 100 percent clean and renewable energy including two new Ohio renewable projects, with operational buildings targeting LEED Gold. The Columbus Dispatch, via USA Today, reported in September 2025 that Meta confirmed Prometheus — a gigawatt AI supercluster Mark Zuckerberg said would come online in 2026 — is being built in New Albany, adding at least 900,000 square feet at the Beech Road facility after a 2022 expansion that raised the New Albany investment by $500 million to $1.5 billion. Data Center Dynamics, covering Williams’ Socrates South plant, placed Sidecat’s 740-acre industrial campus in the New Albany International Business Park as the offtaker for that 200 MW behind-the-meter gas project. Licking County siblings include Socrates North, Socrates South, and AWS Beech Road. The public map lists Buildings 6 and 7 as two operating 98.8 MW halls totaling 197.6 MW.
