Overview

Amazon’s Beech Road campus is part of AWS’s New Albany, Licking County, Ohio, cloud footprint along the Beech / Miller / Jug corridor north of State Route 161. The City of New Albany reported in August 2025 that Amazon invested $6.2 billion in AWS infrastructure in Licking County between 2015 and 2024, generating about $1.4 billion of county GDP and supporting an estimated 1,550 full-time-equivalent jobs, and that AWS paid $3.1 million in property taxes and fees in 2024. The same city release said AWS’s newest New Albany campus had completed construction and staffing on two buildings, with remaining halls due by year-end, as part of the $3.5 billion investment announced in 2023. Data Center Frontier covered that $3.5 billion, five-hall New Albany expansion. The Columbus Building Trades Council said AWS on August 7, 2025 announced the opening of two halls in a five-facility, 1.25-million-square-foot campus along Beech and Miller roads, with work complete on 85 of a 439-acre campus and about 600 tradespeople per main building. Licking County siblings include Meta New Albany and the Socrates North and Socrates South pins, plus prior-batch EdgeConneX New Albany. The public map lists two planned 75.6 MW map records totaling 151.2 MW. New Albany’s August 2025 GDP release is the city origin for the $3.5 billion campus and the two buildings already staffed. The Building Trades note that each main hall took about 600 tradespeople and that 85 acres of the 439-acre tract were complete is the construction census for the Beech and Miller Road five-hall set.
