Overview

Bolingbroke Technology Campus is a canceled 900 MW data-center proposal outside Macon in Monroe County, Georgia. Data Center Dynamics reported on April 10, 2025 that Bolingbroke Technology Center, LLC filed a Development of Regional Impact for a $5.8 billion campus on a 900-acre site along U.S. Highway 41, Wadley Road, and I-475, about 15 miles northwest of Macon. DCD said the project was set to consist of nine buildings spanning 5.4 million square feet plus multiple Central Georgia EMC substations, built in three phases completing in 2029, 2031, and 2033. The listed site plan suggested six single-story halls offering 100 MW each and three two-story halls offering 200 MW each. Current owners were listed as Ingram Timber Ent and Henry Davis Properties, LLC. The project website still describes Bolingbroke Technology Center, LLC designing and preparing a 900-acre data-center-only campus within one mile of Exit 15 along I-475 and Highway 41, with Thomas and Hutton as project engineers. The site says Central Georgia EMC has approved required capacity, does not anticipate higher rates or reduced supply to neighbors, and that the cost of power service and infrastructure will be borne by the project. Water and sewer extensions would be at the developer’s expense. The site says current property owners will not participate in development and are only preparing the acres for ownership transfer.
