Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Powered Lands (poweredlands.com) handles contact and site data. Powered Lands is a map and directory for data-center and large-load land screening.

If you have a privacy question, use the contact form. That is the same form as the homepage.

This policy names the analytics and cookie stack in use as of that date. The live contact form is the source of truth for which fields exist.

What data we collect

Contact

When you submit the contact form on this site (the same form on the homepage and on /contact), we receive the fields that form actually asks for and the content of your message.

If you call (512) 384-1263, we may receive the number you call from and whatever you say on that call.

The contact form does not collect payment card data.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 (gtag) to measure how people use the site. The measurement ID is G-27S0KHTYPH. That is the only analytics product on the live homepage and in the client.

No Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Plausible, or Segment is used. There is no separate analytics or consent package in the app.

Logs and hosting

The hosting provider may log requests. That can include technical request data used to operate the site, such as time of a request and basic connection information.

Retention for those logs is not fully confirmed beyond the cookie lifetimes listed under Cookies.

Cookies and local storage

The site uses cookies and similar storage. There is no cookie banner and no consent manager. Google Analytics 4 loads without a consent gate.

Cookies and similar storage in use:

• Auth session: keeps a signed-in session (httpOnly, sameSite lax, secure in production, 24 hours). No custom cookie name is set in code.
• NDA viewer session: keeps an NDA viewer session for a given link (httpOnly, 24 hours).
• Data-center preview: preview access (httpOnly, sameSite strict, 8 hours).
• Sidebar UI preference: remembers whether the sidebar is open or closed (7 days).
• Hosting cookie (`GAESA`): set by the host. No retention beyond what the host sets is confirmed here.
• Google Analytics 4 cookies: set in the browser after gtag loads. This policy does not state a retention period for those cookies.

Auth, NDA viewer, and preview cookies exist to run those tools. The sidebar cookie stores a layout preference. They are not an advertising profile. If this cookie stack changes, this page will change.

How we use data

We use contact form submissions to respond to inquiries.

We may use Google Analytics 4 aggregated data, and technical site data, to operate and improve the map, directory, and site.

This policy does not describe a marketing drip, newsletter list, or advertising profile.

We do not use contact form messages as a public testimonial without asking.

Sharing

We may share data with providers who process the contact form, hosting, or analytics on our behalf.

That may include Google Analytics as a processor for analytics, and the hosting provider for logs and cookies.

We may share data if required by law, a valid legal request, or to protect the site and people using it.

Retention

We keep contact form submissions as long as needed to respond and operate.

Cookie lifetimes that are confirmed are listed under Cookies. Host log retention is not fully confirmed beyond those cookie lifetimes.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards for the data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. This policy does not promise absolute security.

Children

Powered Lands is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
