Data Center Dynamics reported that Meta has signed contracts, per Bloomberg, to buy capacity from Crusoe’s Childress, Texas, and Warrenton, Missouri, locations, with the two sites combined totaling 1.6 GW. DCD said the Warrenton campus is planned at 22151 NW Service Road on about 340 acres, with two 805,000-square-foot data-center buildings and a 40,000-square-foot administration building. Mid Rivers Newsmagazine reported that the Warrenton Board of Aldermen approved plans for a 337-acre data center at its January 20 meeting after Crusoe AI chief real estate officer Matt Fields presented two 805,000-square-foot halls, a 40,000-square-foot administrative building, a 621,250-square-foot switch yard, and a 603,200-square-foot electrical substation north of N.W. Service Road and west of Highway W. Fields said Crusoe would not seek abatements of real property taxes or gross-receipt taxes and would seek only state tax incentives. The Warren County Record reported that Planning and Zoning approved a conditional use permit and site plan on January 8 by an 8-2 vote. Fields told commissioners the two buildings would use a closed-loop system using only 120,000 gallons annually, that 243 acres in the county would remain undeveloped as a buffer, and that Crusoe planned to develop 19 percent of the 337-acre city site. He said construction on the first large building was anticipated in the second quarter of that year, with full operations in the third quarter of 2027 and the second building operational in the second quarter of 2029.
