Capacity 500 MW reported. Status planned. City Van Wert. County Van Wert. State OH. Grid .
Overview
QTS and the City of Van Wert announced a data-center campus representing approximately $10 billion of capital investment in northwest Ohio. QTS projected more than 1,500 construction jobs using local trades, about 200 full-time company jobs, and $200 million in tax revenue over twenty years. The announcement followed a two-year site search described by Van Wert Area Economic Development’s Brent Stevens; Mayor Kenneth J. Markward said the community’s mega site had awaited development for nearly twenty years.
QTS said it would fund all energy-infrastructure improvements, with no cost impact to existing customers, and would work with AEP on power service. The planned campus uses closed-loop cooling and, once operating, would use no water for cooling. The company also cited local ties through Danfoss components.
A community betterment fund accompanied the announcement, beginning with $100,000 for Vantage Career Center, whose superintendent is Rick Turner. QTS scheduled a community event there for June 11, 2026, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Co-CEOs Tag Greason and David Robey represented QTS, a Blackstone portfolio company. The project is distinct from the Allen County, Indiana, listings for Google Fort Wayne and the New Haven Data Center, which are neighboring directory campuses across the state line.
The public map lists one map record, Van Wert Data Center, 500 MW, planned. Reported campus capacity is 500 MW.
