Overview

Applied Digital’s ELN-01 facility in Ellendale, Dickey County, North Dakota, is the company’s operating crypto and HPC hall next to the Polaris Forge 1 AI Factory Campus. Data Center Dynamics, covering the first Polaris Forge building, said Applied Digital still operates the 180 MW ELN01 cryptomining data center in Ellendale even as CoreWeave took the AI campus under an $11 billion lease. A later DCD report on Polaris Forge Building 2 Phase 1 again placed the AI buildout in Ellendale beside that earlier footprint and said Polaris Forge construction began in September 2022 as part of the crypto and HPC business before the CoreWeave conversion. Applied Digital’s own Polaris Forge release emphasizes long-standing Ellendale operations since 2021. The public map lists Applied Digital Ellendale ELN-01 as one operating building at 180 MW. The mapped ELN-01 pin sits immediately south of the Polaris Forge halls in Ellendale. DCD’s first Polaris Forge completion piece is explicit that ELN01 remains a separate 180 MW crypto facility in Ellendale while the AI campus converts to CoreWeave. The public map’s single operating ELN-01 pin is that earlier hall, not the Polaris Forge buildings.

The public map lists one map record, Applied Digital Ellendale ELN-01, 180 MW, operating. Reported campus capacity is 180 MW.
