AWS Hobart SBN520 Data Center | Hobart, IN

Amazon’s Hobart, Indiana, campus is the Lake County pin set tracked as SBN-series halls, with SBN520 the first mapped 75 MW planned building. The Hobart Data Center Project site, run by the resident group Hobart Residents FIRST, describes the Amazon development as two projects that together form a 26-building campus in a pending Indiana Department of Environmental Management air application: a six-building data-center campus under Hobart Owner LLC, and a 20-building Hobart Tech Park under TuHaus LLC. The site says Phase 1 materials for the Tech Park included building plans for nine buildings, with the remaining 11 identified as Phase 2, and that the entire 20-building Tech Park was approved before those 11 plans were presented. It lists 782 diesel generators, 2,119 MW of combined generator capacity, and about 5.47 million gallons of listed tank capacity across the air application, and says mass grading is active while the requested synthetic-minor/FESOP permit has not been issued.

TradesBuilt reported the city activating a $30 million community impact fund tied to the AWS Hobart buildout as residents protested construction fallout.
