Overview

Cloverleaf Infrastructure proposed a data-center campus in Troy, Illinois, northeast of St. Louis. Data Center Dynamics reported that the company held an information session in early January 2026, but no official application had yet been filed. The site described at that session lies along Highway 43, east of Interstate 55, and is divided by Collinsville Road.

The first-phase concept covered roughly 250 to 300 acres in an L-shaped area on the upper half of the property. It showed six two-story data halls of about 264,000 square feet apiece, together with a substation, office, warehouse, and seven stormwater basins. A full-buildout concept instead showed four buildings using more of the acreage. The Times Tribune reported a 500 MW completion scale and a possible late-2028 finish if construction began in early 2027. Cloverleaf said the process would not require public officials to sign nondisclosure agreements.

Cloverleaf was founded in February 2024 as a buyer of powered land. The company has pursued projects in Georgia and Michigan and withdrew from a Wisconsin proposal in mid-January after local opposition. Troy is part of the broader St. Louis-area development market; Crusoe Warrenton is a separate planned campus across the state line in Missouri.

The public map lists one map record, Cloverleaf Troy Data Center, 500 MW, planned. Reported campus capacity is 500 MW.
