Overview

Aligned Data Centers’ PDX-01 is the first hall on a 27-acre Hillsboro campus at NE 30th Avenue and NE Evergreen Road in Washington County, Oregon. Data Center Dynamics reported the July 2024 topping-out after a January 2023 announcement and an October 2023 groundbreaking, with PDX-01 planned at 72 MW across a dozen 6 MW data halls and a second building, PDX-02, adding 36 MW, on Portland General Electric with 100 percent renewable options. Aligned’s Hillsboro page lists Tier III design, 24x7 access, a 100 percent uptime SLA, Delta³ air cooling, closed-loop chilled water and DeltaFlow liquid taps for GPU density, N+1 block-redundant power, battery energy storage, and near-zero water-utilization efficiency. A later DCD story said Aligned filed a PDX-02 pre-application hours before Hillsboro’s July 27, 2026 120-day moratorium on new or expanded data-center land-use applications, describing PDX-01 at 72 MW and PDX-02 at 36 MW on a planned 108 MW campus; the city said a pre-application was not exempt from the pause.
