Overview

IREN Project Emerald is IREN’s planned AI data-center campus in Pittsburg County, Oklahoma. IREN’s Oklahoma site lists 1,600 MW of total capacity on 2,000 acres, with power scheduled to ramp from 2028, substation energization in 2028, and less than 6 milliseconds of latency to network hubs. The company describes a grid-connected campus in development with high-bandwidth interconnectivity. KJRH reported that a Pittsburg County Tax Incentive District review committee met April 21 at the courthouse and voted to advance tax plans for Project Emerald, a complex across 2,000 acres south of Kiowa around Kiowa Lake Road. IREN, based in Sydney, wants to begin building in 2027 in two phases. Commissioner Charlie Rogers said the campus would use power from PSO. Jason Date of IREN’s North America development team said the City of Kiowa has adequate water for ongoing operations and that if local supply were insufficient, water could be hauled. Kiowa Public School Superintendent Sam Rhyne said he had toured IREN’s Childress, Texas, facility and voted to advance the project to participating boards, including the school board, career-and-tech board, health board, library board, and county commissioners. Commissioner Mike Haynes said neighbors would weigh in at two evening public meetings at Kiowa High School’s auditorium in May.

The public map lists one map record, IREN Project Emerald, 1,600 MW, planned. Reported campus capacity is 1,600 MW.
