Boyd County is in northeastern Kentucky on the Ohio River at the West Virginia and Ohio lines. Catlettsburg is the county seat. Ashland is the largest city. Interstate 64 crosses the southern county. EastPark Industrial Park occupies reclaimed industrial land on the Boyd–Greenup line west of Ashland. U.S. Highway 23 and Kentucky Route 67 serve the park. The mapped campus is in that EastPark tract. The Ohio River and the former Armco/AK Steel mill corridor lie to the north. Kentucky Power transmission feeds the industrial park from the 765 kV network.
